Type of work: SPACES is a nonprofit, artist-run arts organization that provides opportunities for artists to present emerging and provocative ideas in the visual and performing arts. Since 1978, SPACES has given over 9,000 artists an arena in which to present challenging new ideas to audiences of over 850,000.

Benefits of membership: As a member of COSE, SPACES values the opportunity to maintain greater visibility within the arts community and be a part if an organization devoted to the professional and personal support of local artists and arts organizations.

About: SPACES advances the artist's vision. By providing freedom, resources and an audience, SPACES enables the artist to engage the public in a vital dialogue about contemporary art. SPACES interacts dirctly with artists, promoting excellence and experimentation to produce challenging gallery exhibitions, public programs, residencies and publications.

Connect: SPACES initiates community partnerships with local businesses, neighboring institutions and national and international arts organizations. Through sponsorships offering exposure to a diverse audiences, these collaborations are economic vehicles within the community.
